India Investigating Amway, Other MLMs
According to articles in the Indian news recently, Amway and other MLMs are under investigation in that country. The Reserve Bank of India claims that Amway violates the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes.
Amway claims that it does not violate this Act, but the investigation is continuing.
In Chennai, police are investigating a number of companies following action against Japan Life India, a seller of magnetic beds. In addition to Amway, an Indian company, Modicare, was also specifically named.
